The Top Ten Taiwan Attractions

People travel to Taiwan for exotic vacations to experience the country’s beauty but also to enjoy all the wonderful Taiwan attractions.  Whether going to this tropical paradise for a honeymoon, much-needed vacation, or even business, without doubt you want to dedicate some of your time there to seeing some of the attractions that have made this country such a popular destination.  Although there are many more, the following attractions considered the best.

  1. Martyrs’ Shrine – The first of the Taiwan attractions we wanted to provide is in Taipei City, which is a beautiful memorial located in a beautiful suburban area.  Interestingly, every hour, there is a changing of the guard, which enhances the overall experience.

  2. Yangming Park – The city of Taipei is large, crowded, and hectic but when visiting this park, you find a slice of heaven neatly tucked away to enjoy.  The park is simple gorgeous, providing a serene escape and best of all, the Yangming Park can be reached by public transportation in about 15 minutes.

  3. Taipei City Zoo – Another of the Taiwan attractions worth seeing is the city zoo, which offers a pleasant way to spend a leisure afternoon.  This particular zoo is very clean, organized, and modern so the overall trip is enjoyable and fun.

  4. Dan Shui Market – If visiting Tanshui Town, we suggest spending time in this authentic market, which is located along the riverside.  The scenery is beautiful and relaxing and while there, you could enjoy watching local artists drawing or walk across the Lover Bridge.

  5. Bao-an Temple – You definitely want to make time to see this attraction, which is not only a gorgeous place to see but while walking around the temple grounds, you can hear prayers of the priests and smell the aromas of Taiwan.  The overall experience when visiting this temple allows you to gain insight into the culture and belief system of the Taiwanese people.

  6. Botanical Gardens – We definitely wanted to add the Botanical Gardens to our list of Taiwan attractions because no matter the time of day or year visited, it is stunning.  However, if you were to visit the gardens during the spring and summer months, the ponds located throughout are full of fragrant lotus flowers.

  7. Shin Kong Observatory – When heading to the Chung Cheng District of Taipei City, you could make a stop at this observatory to climb to the observation deck on the top floor for a magnificent view.

  8. Fine Arts Museum – This museum also makes our list for the top Taiwan attractions, being a large place that features beautiful works from the local people, as well as international artists.  With such diversity, this museum is something the entire family would enjoy seeing.

  9. Lin An Tai Ancestral House – This also makes our list for being among the best Taiwan attractions, providing a unique glimpse into the success of a business family that lives and worked in Taipei City during the early 19th century.  Comprised of a complex made from brick, the architectural features are worth the visit.

  10. Youth Park – If you plan to visit Taiwan with children, the Youth Park is without doubt one of the best Taiwan attractions.  Not only is this one of the biggest parks in the city but it is also designed specific for children to enjoy.  However, with the park resting on the Yin Dian River banks, it also boasts some amazing scenery.
